Fully-Funded PhD Position in Service Analytics and Optimization


The research group “Corporate Services and Systems (CSS)” at theÿKarlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) has open positions (TV-L E 13)ÿfor outstanding PhD candidates with a keen interest in IT Service Management, Data Analytics, and Optimization.
CSS is a joint research group with the partner organizations Bayer AG and Research Center for Information Technology (FZI). It dedicates its research activities to improving service planning and operation with a particular emphasis on large or big data analytics and scalable mathematical models.

The PhD candidate will work on a research project, which focuses on the extraction and visualization of relationships and systematic anomalies in huge sets of planning data. The project is aimed at developing a management dashboard to support complex enterprise planning decisions.
Candidates for the PhD position hold (or will soon receive) a Master / Diploma degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields and are able to consider both theoretical and practical/implementation aspects in their work. Fluent English and/or German communication are fundamental requirements. The candidate will join a highly-motivated team of researchers at KIT and FZI working on several innovative solutions related to Information and Service Management.
