This ambitious programme has been running since 2007 ,The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) is linked to the University of Groningen (RUG). Research, teaching, training and patient care are closely integrated. Research facilities are excellent. The UMCG’s mission is ‘Building the Future of Health’ with research on Healthy Ageing as its main focus. Research is embedded in the UMCG research institutes: GUIDE (drug research and chronic diseases in relation to ageing), Oncology, SHARE (Health research), BCN-Brain (ageing brain), and Kolff Institute (biomaterials for the elderly).

2013 Joint PhD Programme in Economics and Governance in Netherlands


Eligibility: Each applicant must be:
-a Master’s degree from a relevant academic field, including:-economics, international relations, political science, law, social sciences, business administration, health sciences or public health
-basic knowledge of mathematics and statistics, which is measured by reviewing the content and level of previous studies and/or working experience
-basic knowledge of economics, social sciences, political science and/or law, which is measured by reviewing the content and level of previous studies and/or working experience

Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship 2013, The University of Nottingham, Malaysia

International Students Scholarships 2013, Kyung Hee University, South Korea

COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Endowment Fund (CIITEF) Scholarship

Curtin International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (CIPRS)


The CIPRS is available to any international student wishing to commence a Higher Degree by Research at Curtin for the first time in 2013. This scholarship is awarded to students to attract top quality international postgraduate students to areas of research strength in the Australian higher education sector and support Australia’s research effect.

Eligibility criteria
The award is open to citizens of an overseas country (excluding New Zealand).
Scholarships will be awarded on academic merit and research capacity to suitably qualified overseas graduates eligible to commence a higher degree by research in 2013.
Value
The CIPRS provides:
  • Course tuition fee for two years for a Master's (by Research) and a maximum of three and a half years for a Doctoral degree; and
  • awardee are usually offered a stipend from either Faculty/government project or external organisation funding equivalent to the amount of an APA award.

MUIS Merit Partial Scholarships


MUIS provides a partial tuition fee scholarship for outstanding students to study at Macquarie University North Ryde campus. It has been designed to recognise academic excellence and provide financial assistance for international students. MUIS Merit Partial Scholarships are country-specific and will be awarded progressively through the year to future applicants to Macquarie University. The MUIS is highly competitive and awarded based on academic merit.
Deadline: Allocated on a monthly basis before the commencement of Semester.

MUIS Merit is a Partial Scholarship for Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies, it is equivalent to $5,000 and it will be awarded towards the commencement fee or reimbursed if fees already paid.

The MUIS Merit Scholarships do NOT provide financial support in the form of a living allowance, nor does it provide for the cost of visa application, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), airfares, accommodation, conferences or other costs associated with study. This scholarship is not available to students studying at Macquarie City Campus or the Sydney Institute of Business & Technology (SIBT).
The MUIS Merit Scholarship is a single scholarship and not available to be renewed.

The MUIS is available across most courses* to cover a range of full international tuition fees for study on campus at North Ryde in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree. The MUIS Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarships do NOT provide financial support in the form of a living allowance, nor does it provide for the cost of visa application, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), airfares, accommodation, conferences or other costs associated with study. Sydney Achievers International Scholarships 2013


Following the success of the Sydney Achievers International Scholarships in 2012, the University of Sydney takes great pleasure in announcing an enhanced Scholarships scheme for new international students commencing at the University in 2013. Up to 100 of these prestigious Scholarships will be offered in 2013 to high achieving, academically meritorious, international students, inviting them to enjoy the Sydney experience at one of the finest institutions of higher education in the world.

Application Procedure
  • No separate application for a Sydney Achievers International Scholarship is necessary.
  • An Application for Admission to the University of Sydney in 2013 will constitute an application for a Scholarship.
  • All applications meeting the selection and eligibility criteria resulting in unconditional Offers of Admission will be automatically considered.
  • The deadline for receipt of applications and complete supporting documentation (academic and English language proficiency results) is 15 January 2013 for Semester 1, 2013, and 30 June 2013 for Semester 2, 2013.
  • Successful candidates will receive an Offer of a Scholarship with the Offer of Admission.
  • Applications received after these deadlines will not be considered.
  • Candidates applying through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) will be considered in January 2013.
Due to the limited number of Scholarships available, applicants are not guaranteed a Scholarship (even if they meet the selection and eligibility criteria) especially if offers made to early applicants have all been accepted. Candidates are, therefore, strongly encouraged to apply early for admission in order to maximise their chances of being considered for a Scholarship.

Selection Criteria

  • Selection will be based strictly on academic merit as per the University’s admission requirements.
  • Selection will be based on actual results (academic and English language proficiency). Predicted/forecast results will not be considered.
  • Only applicants with firm, unconditional offers of admission will be considered.
  • Selection will be made by the International Student Office, whose decision will be final. No appeals will be entertained.
  • With the exception of UAC applicants, for whom Scholarship offers will be issued after 15 January 2013, all successful candidates will be offered a Scholarship along with the Offer of Admission to the University of Sydney.
