Friends Scholarship 2013-14 - Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Maastricht University, The Netherlands
The Friends of Maastricht University (UM) is an initiative of the University Fund Limburg/SWOL. The University Fund seeks private funding to allow talented international students to follow master’s programs at Maastricht University. Gifts and donations are brought together in the Friends Scholarship.

This scholarship provides an opportunity to experience the Problem-Based Learning educational model at UM, but also gives the scholarship recipient the opportunity to learn from other cultures by becoming a part of UM’s international academic community.
The supporters of this Friends Scholarship are the following companies: SATIJNplus Architects, Mediview, Delfin and Van der Valk Hotel Maastricht.
For 2013-2014 the Friends Scholarship will focus on the Master Globalisation and Development Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. This is a one-year master program.
Who is eligible?
The Friends Scholarship offers subsidies for young talented students participating in the Master Globalization and Development Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Maastricht University starting in September 2013. Note: candidates must meet all the requirements of the application procedure. Applicants should hold a passport from an emerging country in South America, Africa or Asia.
