Commonwealth Shared Scholarships Scheme 2013, Newcastle University, UK
The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme is a joint initiative between the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the University to support students from developing Commonwealth countries who would not otherwise be able to study in the United Kingdom.

Eligibility
You are eligible to apply for a DFID award if:
- you have been offered a place on one of the eligible degree programmes above
- you have a first degree at either first-class or upper second-class level or the equivalent
- you are not currently living in a developed country or have previously studied for a year or more in a developed county
- you are not employed by a government department (either national or local government) or a parastatal organisation (university and polytechnic employees are exempt from this restriction)
- you come from one of the following list of countries: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Cameroon, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji*, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Montserrat, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn, Rwanda, St. Helena, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tristan da Cunha, Turks and Caicos, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Western Samoa, Zambia, Zimbabwe*
