This scholarship is open to Australian citizens who are Northern Territory residents to undertake 3 – 12 months of study or research in the United States. It is open to people from all professional fields, within any of the Fulbright Scholarship categories: Professional, Senior Scholars, Postgraduate and Postdoctoral. Projects should add value and contribute to the Northern Territory’s economic development and further research opportunities.
The scholarship is funded jointly by the Northern Territory Government, Charles Darwin University (CDU) and corporate sponsor, Blackboard Asia Pacific.
Fulbright Scholarships include:
• National Orientation Program and a Fulbright Presentation Dinner
• Enrichment Seminars in the United States with international Fulbright Scholars
• Distinguished professional network with U.S. and Australian Fulbright Alumni Associations
• A support agency in the U.S. that assists with visas, events, and networks
• A J1 visa that allows Fulbright Scholars to work in their field in the U.S. for a further year following their study
